A new Italian design firm with a familiar name amongst its founders is Spadaconcept, hailing from Turin. Ercole Spada, who has designed numerous Italian classics over the years, including the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato and Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ whilst he was in Zagato's employ, as well as the more recent Osca 2500 GT. Spadaconcept's first product is called the "Codatronca", and features some rather brave styling, especially at the rear, where a massive vertical fin and Kamm tail seem to have had a mysterious fusion. Another design oddity is the LCD display mounted at the rear, which presumably displays the current top speed. Or something.

Built on the Corvette Z06 platform, all three variants - Codatronca TS, Codatronca TSV and Codatronca TSS - feature the all-aluminium V8 LS7 OHV engine, installed longitudinally in front driving the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. The two base models are naturally aspirated, and produce a claimed 500 PS @ 6300 rpm, with 637 Nm of torque at 4800 rpm. The top of the range, the Codatronca Turismo Super Sportivo (TSS), employs two superchargers to provide a claimed 700 PS at 6200 rpm and 950 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm.

The claimed maximum speed of the TSS is a rather bold 355 km/h, with an even more exuberant 2.7 seconds claimed 0-100 km/h time. The less powerful versions are claimed to hit 330 km/h at top end, and do the 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.7 seconds. Certainly, the vehicles are interesting enough visually to render those numbers, as impressive as they may turn out to be, to mere afterthoughts when any review of the cars is made.
