Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Ferrari's latest range-topper is called the 599 GTB Fiorano. It is a classic front-engined, rear-drive car. The Enzo's 65-degree V-12 engine is used, changed somewhat for less extreme power delivery. It still delivers a rather impressive 620 PS (611 bhp, 456 kW) from its 6 litres, handily over the magical 100 bhp/litre mark. Claimed performance is excellent, with 100km/h from rest in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of over 330 km/h. Considering the Enzo weighs less and has about 40 more PS, this is some achievement - the Enzo was claimed to hit 100km/h in just 0.05 seconds less.
The styling has also been better received then Ferraris of late in general. It certainly is very reminiscent of great Ferraris of yesterday, like the 365 and 275 GTB/4. In comparison with the outgoing 575, wheelbase has grown 250mm to 2750mm, and the length is up 115mm to 4665mm. The claimed weight, however, has remained pretty much the same. Power is up from the 575's 515 PS, a very healthy bump of 105 PS. The 575 managed the standing kilometre in 21.8 seconds, so expect the 599 to get very close to breaking the 20-second mark.
