Ruf's Sledgehammer? The CTR 3 unleashed

Ruf, based in Germany, have been around for decades. Whilst most of their output has been based on modifying Porsche products in the mould of the classic German tuning firm, their latest creation takes this a lot further. Whilst still having Porsche underpinnings, the Ruf CTR 3 is the first Ruf product to have an entirely bespoke body. The lines are true to their Porsche roots, but at the same time the CTR 3 manages to avoid looking too derivative.
The engine is straight from the Porsche tradition too. A 3.8 litre flat 6 with twin KKK turbochargers provide an impressive 700 PS of power at 7000 rpm, with 890 Nm of torque coming through at 4000 rpm. With compact dimensions for a supercar of this type (4445 mm long, 1944 mm wide and 1200 mm high), the DIN kerb weight is kept to a respectable 1400 kg. The claimed performance figures are completely unsurprising in light of the aforementioned, with the 0-100 km/h dash taking a claimed 3.2 seconds and the top speed an impressive 375 km/h.
