New coupés from BMW

BMW have released the details of their new Z4 coupés, in both 3-litre 3.0si and the eagerly-awaited M-powered Z4 M versions.
The Z4 M sports a more aggressive body, and is slightly longer than the regular Z4 Coupé. It also has the larger brakes of the two, unsurprisingly, as well as fatter tyres and four exhausts. The Z4 M has a 3.2 litre straight six, similar to the previous-generation M3, and produces 343 PS at 7900 rpm, with a maximum torque of 365 Nm at 4900. The claimed time for the standing-start kilometre is 23.7 seconds.
The 3.0si sports a 266 PS 3 litre straight six, as is found in the familiar Z4 Roadster. A kilometre from rest is covered in 25.2 seconds.
Both are available with 6-speed manual transmissions as standard, however the 3.0si can also be had with an automatic 6-speed. All versions can comfortably hit their electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h in top gear.
