The BMW M-series Specs Snapshot
Friday October 29, 2004
The first BMW M-series was the M1 of 1977. A 3.5 litre straight 6 engine powered this Giugiaro-styled mid-engined supercar of its day to a top speed of around 270 km/h. 27 years later we've seen a succession of BMW M-badged machines, M3s, M5s, M635s, M Coupes and M Roadsters. All are benchmark performers in their respective classes. The latest M5 brings a new dimension to the series with its V10 engine and 7 speed gearbox. We have selected a bunch of the M-series cars for you to look at - you can view them here.
