2007 Geneva Motor Show: Maserati GranTurismo

One of the best looking of a whole slew of good looking new cars at Geneva this year is Maserati's new GranTurismo coupe. Powered by a slightly beefier version of the V8 found in the Quattroporte and 4200 GT, it promises a top speed of over 280 km/h.
With the V8 now producing 406 PS (298 kW, 400 bhp) at 7100 rpm, the beautiful coupe will reach 100 km/h from rest in 5.2 seconds, cover the standing quarter mile in 13.4 seconds, and the kilometre in 23.9 seconds.
It is a large car though, with a wheelbase of 2942 mm (just 112 mm shy of the Quattroporte's), and 4881 mm long, which is just 171 mm shorter, but Pininfarina's skill and execution is such that the GranTurismo's looks belie its fairly hefty size.
