Using the Carfolio.com search tool

A lot of people find Carfolio.com through searches on Google. Many times though, what they appear to be searching for isn't being returned very well by Google at all, so users may wonder why they have ended up on a page on Carfolio.com that has little to do with their original search. Luckily, using Carfolio.com's built-in search will give you far better results if you find yourself in this situation. Here are a few hints to get you started:
- most basically, simply typing in the name of the car you're looking for will throw out some results - "ferrari testarossa" will get you all Ferraris that were called Testarossa.
- just the name of the manufacturer will return all records with that manufacturer's name in them. Be advised that this will not restrict the search to matching only the manufacturer portion of the model names. For searches where you would need that functionality, the Options link to the right of the search box at the top of your screen will give you much more precise control over the matching of terms to manufacturer and model names.
- you can then further refine your results by adding the type of drivetrain, so for example if you wanted Toyotas with diesel engines, just search for "toyota diesel". The same goes for "petrol", "hybrid", and "electric".
- you are also able to incorporate the size of the engine, in litres, in your search. If you wanted to see Alfa Romeos with 1.6 litre petrol engines, your search term should be "alfa romeo 1.6 petrol".
- the search will also take body styles into account, so if you wanted to see all Audi cabriolets with 2.0 diesel engines, your search terms should be "audi 2.0 diesel cabriolet". For those so inclined, "convertible" can be used interchangeably.
