European Ford showrooms will suddenly have a large number of Ka models
on offer. The model credited with introducing Ford's "new edge" styling
to the masses finally loses its antiquated OHV 1.3 4 cylinder engine in
favour of an SOHC 1.3 litre four. The cute city car is available in two
levels - one producing 60 PS and the other 70 PS. Also in showrooms
shortly is the glamorous StreetKa, a whimsical roadster-like version of
the Ka. As befits its more sporting ambitions, the StreetKa gets fully
1.6 litres of raw power - well when compared to its little brothers
anyway. The 93 bhp engine should get the StreetKa up to around 170 km/h
and get it to 100 km/h from rest in a tick over 12 seconds. Soon to
