Hyundai Genesis Coupé

Hyundai have released the preliminary specifications of their impressive new rear wheel drive coupé, the Genesis Coupé. Two versions are available initially, the Hyundai Genesis Coupé Turbo and the Hyundai Genesis Coupé V6.
The two engine variants are available with either a six speed manual or 5 speed automatic gearbox. The smaller is a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder turbocharged unit, and it produces 215 PS (158 kW) at 6000 rpm, and torque of 294 Nm (217 ftlbs) at 2500 rpm. The all-aluminium 4 valve per cylinder motor has square dimensions, with both bore and stroke being 86.0 mm.
The larger engine is a 3.8 litre V6 Lambda motor, with oversquare cylinder dimensions - bore is 96.0 mm and stroke 87.0 mm. It manages 310 PS (228 kW) at 6000 rpm and 357 Nm (263 ftlbs) at 4700 rpm. A limited top speed of 240 km/h is claimed for the manual V6 Genesis Coupé.
