The Gumpert Tornante is a 2 door coupé-bodied car designed by Touring Superleggera with a mid positioned engine driving through the rear wheels.
It is powered by a dry sumped turbocharged engine of 4.2 litre capacity. This unit features double overhead camshaft valve gear, a 90 degree V 8 cylinder layout, and 5 valves per cylinder. It produces 690 bhp (700 PS/515 kW) of power at 6500 rpm, and maximum torque of 900 N·m (664 lb·ft/91.8 kgm) at 4000 rpm. It features dry sump-type lubrication.
