The Commander Hardtop is a rear wheel drive saloon (sedan) motor car with a front mounted engine, produced by Studebaker.
It is part of Studebaker's 58B family of cars.
The 4.2 litre engine is a naturally aspirated, overhead valve, 8 cylinder unit that has an output of 180 bhp (183 PS/134 kW) of power at 4500 rpm, and maximum torque of 352 N·m (260 lb·ft/35.9 kgm) at 2800 rpm.
The engine delivers its power through to the wheels via a 3 speed manual with overdrive gearbox.
