The Holden Calais V-Series's engine is a naturally aspirated petrol, 3.6 litre, double overhead camshaft 60 degree V 6 cylinder with 4 valves per cylinder. This powerplant develops 261 bhp (265 PS/195 kW) of power at 6500 rpm, and maximum torque of 340 N·m (251 lb·ft/34.7 kgm) at 2600 rpm.
The engine transfers its power through to the wheels via a 6 speed automatic transmission.
