It is part of Porsche's J model series.
The 2.7 litre engine is a naturally aspirated, single overhead camshaft, 6 cylinder unit that develops 163 bhp (165 PS/122 kW) of power at 5800 rpm, and maximum torque of 235 N·m (173 lb·ft/24 kgm) at 4000 rpm. It features dry sump-type lubrication.
The engine transmits power to the wheels through a 5 speed manual transmission.
