The Cougar V6 is a road car from Mercury, with front wheel drive, a front mounted engine and a 2 door coupé body style.
The power is produced by a naturally aspirated engine of 2.5 litre capacity. This powerplant features double overhead camshaft valve gear, a 60 degree V 6 cylinder layout, and 4 valves per cylinder. It produces 170 bhp (172 PS/127 kW) of power at 6250 rpm, and maximum torque of 224 N·m (165 lb·ft/22.8 kgm) at 4250 rpm.
The power is transferred to the wheels by means of a 5 speed manual gearbox.
