The 8 cylinder, overhead valve naturally aspirated engine has 2 valves per cylinder and a displacement of 6.3 litres. For this model it develops power and torque figures of 270 bhp (274 PS/201 kW) at 4400 rpm and 529 Nm (390 lbft/53.9 kgm) at 2800 rpm respectively.
