The Gremlin is a rear wheel drive Richard Teague designed hatchback car with a front positioned engine, sold by AMC.
The 6 cylinder, overhead valve naturally aspirated powerplant has 2 valves per cylinder and a volume of 3.8 litres. In this application it produces power and torque figures of 86 bhp (87 PS/64 kW) at 3400 rpm and 218 Nm (161 lbft/22.2 kgm) at 1800 rpm respectively.
A 3 speed automatic gearbox supplies the power to the driven wheels.
